Every girl deserves her night to shine.

Homecoming. Prom. The night you've dreamed about since middle school. For some girls, a dress is out of reach . Not because they don't deserve it, but because life has made things harder than it should be.

We started the White Oak Dress Fund because we believe a price tag should never be the reason a girl misses her moment. Not in our community. Not on our watch.

Every dress donated, every dollar given, and every application submitted is kept completely confidential. This is a safe space : to ask, to give, and to shine.

How the program works

Three ways we make it happen

The White Oak Dress Fund runs on donated dresses, donated dollars, and the belief that community shows up for community.

Apply for a Dress

Girls who need support can apply confidentially. Our team reviews every application with care. If you qualify, you'll be matched with a dress from our fund , at no cost, and with no one the wiser.

Donate a Dress

Your gently worn formal dress has another great night ahead of it. Drop it off in-store or mail it to us. We'll make sure it finds the girl it was meant for , giving it the second act it deserves.

Give a Gift

Can't donate a dress? A monetary gift goes directly toward purchasing new dresses for girls whose sizes aren't covered by our current inventory. Every dollar dresses someone's daughter.

Financial hardship : a formal dress is genuinely out of reach right now

Single-parent or single-income household

In foster care or transitional living

Living without a parent or legal guardian

Refugee, immigrant, or first-generation American family

Experiencing homelessness or housing instability

First formal event with no family support system to help

Any other circumstance that makes this feel out of reach

A note on confidentiality. Applications are reviewed by Yvette or Arthur Littlefield , and only them. Your name, your story, and your participation in this program will never be shared publicly, ever. You do not have to explain yourself to anyone else. Just ask.

Partner with us

Become a partner school

Counselors, teachers, PTOs, and student clubs: help us reach the girls who need a dress and the girls who have one to give. Partner schools add a link to their counseling page, quietly share the program with students who could use it, and can host a dress drive with a bin and signage we provide.
